Learning log 24/ 06/ 13

          This week, teacher gives students presentation all the topic of the teaching approach. There are Vocabulary Teaching, Pronunciation Teaching, Culture Teaching, Wed based Learning Teaching, and the last Communicative Language Teaching (CLT). Then, Teacher talks all the teaching approach and conclude all of them. This week, teacher talks two thing, There are Curriculum and Teaching method of CLT.
          The fisrt thing, teaching approach have the Curriculum. Step of make the Curriculum are Belief ---> Approach
 ---> Curriculum are standards/ indicator, content, tasks, evaluation, activities, authentic assessment. --->
Cause, ---> Syllabus, and the last lesson plane.
          The second thing, teacher talks about CLT approach. It's conclude the teaching approach. There are Task Based Learning, Project Based Learning, Content Based Learning, Problem Based Learning and the last Communicative Language Learning ( CLT).
          In this week, teacher talks two thing. The first is Curriculum. The second is teaching method of CLT in this class. The Curriculum have Syllabus and process of learning. The process of learning are teaching, evaluation and learning.
          In conclusion, I can use the process of learning and teaching approach to apply in the class of teaching students in the class. and can be make the Syllabus and Curriculum of English Teaching correct.

Learning log 17/ 06/ 13

In class, my friends are presentation about teaching method. They are presentation in front of the classroom. This week, my friends have a presentation for 6 topics. There are Task Based Learning Teaching, Project Based Learning Teaching, Listening Teaching, Speaking Teaching, Reading Teaching and Writing Teaching.

        The first topic is Task Based Learning Teaching. It has the process of  teaching, there are practice, production and presentation. Teacher  teaches students by do activities before and gives students find the learning what they want to know.
The last, teacher presentation about thing of students don’t know.

        The second topic is Project Based Learning Teaching.
It’s teach about the project. Teacher gives students to find the topic about what they want to learn or topic about environment in the locality. Students can be find the information and presentation in their class.

        The third topic is Listening Teaching. Teacher should do three steps for teaches about listening. There are pre - listening ( warm – up and presentation) , while- listening ( practice ), and the last post – listening ( wrap – up and production).

        The four topic is Speaking Teaching. The activities in the class  to teaching  about  speaking. Teacher should be asks students and gives students to answer the question. Teacher gives students to play in English about communication.

        The next topic is Reading Teaching. It’s learning by the text  newspaper  emblem or label. Teacher can teaches every method to students like asking priming questions, finding the meaning of vocabularies, reading the text, understand the text, evaluation and correctly.

The last topic is Writing Teaching. Teacher can teaches students to writing about controlled writing teaching, less – controlled writing teaching, and the last free writing teaching.

The presentation today, there are Task Based Learning Teaching, Project Based Learning Teaching, Listening Teaching, Speaking Teaching, Reading Teaching and Writing Teaching.

Teacher should be choose about some methods that want to teaches. The 6 topics is interesting to English Teaching.

          Dave Wanser and I, We are friends on facebook. He is the teacher. Now, he live in NaKhon Si Thammarat.
          Today, we talk about on the weekend. He tell me at  NaKhon Si Thammarat very quiet.
On the weekend, he play  game because nothing to do. For me on the weekend, I come back home.

          This is the VOA Special English Education Report. Its tell about two- year colleges in the United States are also known as community colleges. The United States government and the college pay the cost in a program college  the Community College Initiative. The program provides job training for people who otherwise could not  attend college.
       The program is also a chance to learn about America and its people.
           Student can choosing  what they want to study.

          The second weeks of this semester, teacher asks students to search about teaching methods and asks to present about this in front of the class. This week, my friends 6 groups  had a presentation for 3 titles. There are Belief, Content Based Learning and  Problem Based Learning.
          The first title is Belief method. It's the teaching that teacher and student have a knowledge and can be respond together. The Belief method isn't teaching method but it's belief to something for example, believe about student  can a good learning or believe about teachers can a good teaching.
          The second title is  Content Based Learning. It's a study of  both language acquisition and subject matter. Teacher should be choose the content about student can be understanding. Student can linking the content that teacher choose with another subject or another skills.
          The last title is  Problem Based Learning. It's teaching method by using the problem. Student can solve the problem for their self. Student can learn about the experience and practice to solve it.
          This week, we have a presentation for 3 titles and 6 groups to this class. There are Belief, Content Based Learning and  Problem Based Learning.
          In my opinion, Teachers can choose about the teaching method to teach student in the class. The teaching method can helps teacher to teach  in the class and  can control student in the class.

My Dad

         I love my dad. He was a good man. He taught me to work hard. He taught me to keep trying. He taught me to do things right or don’t do them at all. He grew up on the streets of New York City. His parents didn’t speak English. He had three brothers and one sister. His brothers ended up in jail. His sister died in a car crash. My dad married my mom when they were both 19. My dad joined the army. He jumped out of airplanes. Then he became a military policeman. He did this for 20 years. He liked his job. He was a hard worker. He went to college while he was in the army. He got two college degrees. One college degree is good. Two college degrees is very good. He retired from the army and became a teacher. He taught high school kids. He taught high school kids for 20 years. He had a lot of patience. Teachers need a lot of patience. Then my dad retired. He traveled around the world with my mom. They both died in a plane crash. That was bad. But they died together. That was good.

          Don't Kick The Chair Song. In this song have many questions such as Have you ever felt like ererybody's watching for you to lose?, Have you ever felt love, really really felt love the kind I could save a life ? and anoter questions in this song its make you feel thinking about song. In this song gives the caution about you don't feel despond in you're life.

Learning log 3 / 6 / 13

          This day is the first class of semester for me. I learn the Curriculum and English Management subject.
I worry about this subject because it is the difficult subject. First time, I come late. Teacher talks about two thing in the class. There are our knowledge and what we should do outside the classroom ?
          The first thing, teacher talks about our knowledge. It is KWL. K means old knowledge, W means what you want to study ? and L means learn. Teacher asks every student to talk about KWL for individual. Everyone in class ask a good answer. Then, teacher talks about expect. Everyone must be past IEL'S, TOEFL, TOEIC for ASEAN Community.
          The second thing, teacher talks about what we should do outside the classroom. There are listening VOA or song, speaking on skype, writing on Facebook/ Twitter or Line, reading on the Forum/ student weekly. The four skills are important for English teacher and student to successful in English subject.
          This week, teacher talks about two thing. There are our knowledge and what we should do outside the classroom ? For English student or teacher should have four skills in English. The skills are listening, speaking,writing and reading.
          In my opinion, everyone to be a good teacher on the future. You should do everything to saving knowledge. May be learning in the class room or learning outside the classroom. It's make you're successful on the future for a good teacher.
